Suntech Hawaii’s design maximizes the productive capacity of this commercial roof in cloudy Kaneohe. It does so by covering a series of small roof planes with pitch-specific sub-arrays and pairing them with individual inverters. The 106kW (DC PTC) system supplies more than 40 percent of the facility’s power needs and identifies Honda Windward as an environmental leader among Oahu’s auto retailers.
