Actus Lend Lease holds long term contracts to own and manage housing on five Army and Air Force installations on Oahu. The company approached Suntech Hawaii seeking to reduce operating costs and encourage conservation among its tenants by supplanting a flat access charge for electricity with billing based on usage. Suntech Hawaii’s thin-film solution pleased both Actus and its clients, the US Army and US Air Force, and helped meet the military’s increasingly ambitious environmental regulations.
