Suntech Hawaii is a full service renewable energy firm and the largest locally owned and operated solar integrator in Hawaii. Our company designs, develops, and installs solar photovoltaic and hot water systems throughout the Hawaiian Islands. We help our clients reduce or eliminate their utility bills and hedge against the soaring costs of grid-based power derived from fossil fuels.
Suntech Hawaii is one of the most experienced solar integrators in the state. The company began operations in 2004 and has since installed hundreds of residential PV and hot water systems. Suntech Hawaii is also the largest solar installer on the state’s military bases, having put in more than 2.0 MW of solar generating capacity since 2006. Completed projects to date include: a 350kW project for the United States Army at Schofield Barracks, a 375kW project for the United States Coast Guard at Aliumanu Military Reservation, and a 240-system hot water project for the United States Marines at Kaneohe Marine Corp Base.
Since the end of 2006, Suntech Hawaii has been preparing for commercial solar to boom in Hawaii. To this end, the company has added financial, business development, and project management experience to deal with the financial and logistical challenges or working at the commercial scale. This investment has paid off Suntech Hawaii has booked a series of commercial projects between 100 kW and 800 kW for installation in 2008. Looking ahead, Suntech Hawaii is committed to maintaining its leadership role in Hawaii’s alternative energy marketplace.
